Pavel Bure Award


If you are the coach of a young hockey player in PeeWee, Bantam or Midget who is truly valuable to your team we want to hear about them! The Pavel Bure Award rewards young BC hockey players who display leadership and sportsmanship both on and off the ice through demonstrating values such as integrity, passion, teamwork and courage.

Who Is Eligible?

The Pavel Bure Award recognizes British Columbia Minor Hockey Players who are between the ages of 11-17 and play in PeeWee, Bantam or Midget that have made exceptional contributions to:

  • Leadership qualities on and off the ice
  • Exhibit sportsmanship
  • Is deemed valuable to his or her hockey team through displaying values such as integrity, passion, teamwork and courage

How Do We Decide?

Each applicant is reviewed and award recipients are chosen based on those who most closely display leadership and sportsmanship on and off the ice. In addition, two letters of reference will be reviewed and taken into consideration in the process as well. Award winner will be announced at the start of the 2016/2017 Canucks Pre Season. The winner will receive a 2016/2017 Pavel Bure award along with two tickets in the 500 club to a 2016/2017 regular season Canucks home game.
